Closing October 15, 2023 Curated by Roberta Wong, our latest pop-up exhibit highlights the origins of Soon Yook Wong, a Chinese merchant from Toisan, China. He arrived in Portland, Oregon in 1920. By 1930, he became sole proprietor of his own business, Tuck Lung Company. Through photos, artifacts, and personal family stories, the exhibit details the multigenerational history behind the iconic Portland Chinatown building.
