XRchive: (Hi)stories and Visions of Block 14 at Lone Fir Cemetery
Ongoing
An Augmented Storytelling Project
XRchive: (Hi)stories and Visions of Block 14 at Lone Fir Cemetery is
a reflection, a remembrance, and an XR (hi)storytelling of the Chinese
community buried here at Block 14.
These vignettes are a poetic interpretation of history, of fragmented memories, of hopes, and what might
have or could have been, and visions of a possible future.
Created using emerging technologies, research, and the imagination of a
collective of artists, technologists, storytellers, and community members,
XRchive is an offering to inspire conversations, to acknowledge, and to
celebrate this community’s contributions toward building Portland.
Themed by the four seasons and festivals for honoring ancestors unique
to each season, these experiences will inspire you to learn more about
the history, culture, and experiences of this community that helped build
Portland
