Diana Lo Mei Hing: Visions of Diana
November 8, 2019 - February 14, 2021 There is a wild and rapturous beauty to Diana Lo Mei Hing’s work. Her intimate photographs and brilliantly colored mixed media paintings illuminate and choreograph the pleasures and longings of transitory nature. Like dragonfly’s wings or a floating cloud, Diana’s art captures and reflects the light as it swells and then disappears from sight.

Diana Lo Mei Hing was born in Hong Kong and spent her childhood in Guangzhou during the volatile run up to the Cultural Revolution. Her father fled with his family to Milan, Italy where Diana was raised. A well-known abstract watercolor and mixed media painter, photographer, and poet in Italy, where continues to exhibit, Diana moved to Portland in 2015. This is her first solo exhibition in the Northwest.
